ABOUT ASG PROPERTY INSURANCE

Established by Executive Order No. 006-2014, Section 6 Re-establishment of Functions and Responsibilities of the Office of Disaster Assistance and Petroleum Management, sub-section (B) ASG Disaster Property Insurance Program it states, “Administer and manage in cooperation with the ASG Property Insurance Committee (ASPIC) of Treasury, Procurement, ASTCA, LBJ Hospital, and ASCC the solicitation and maintenance of qualified, cost-effective property insurance for insuring ASG fixed assets, structures, and contents funded and required by FEMA.”

By this executive order, ODAPM acknowledges and accepts the responsibility of administering and managing the American Samoa Government’s Property Insurance to ensure that all schedule of values is updated and that any insurance proceeds received are used to rebuild or replace damaged property.  ODAPM Field Compliance Officers will work diligently with agencies/departments to manage projects.  ODAPM Insurance Coordinator will work together with the ASG Property Insurance Committee to prepare the request for proposal (RFP) 6 months to the expiration of the current policy.
